Avengers endgame is a Marvel film which did incredibly well at the box office but in order for it to do well there had to be a advertising campaign behind it. It is the final film in the marvel cinematic universe, so to promote it, the advertising campaign would be huge so the final film gets big recognition and will be remembered for years to come.
Target audience– The target audience for avengers endgame would be those aged between 12 and 18 maybe even older as there maybe people who like superheroes and are fans of the franchise as they may have grown up with it. Also the target audience would age up from 12 rather than younger as some of the scenes may contain violence and may upset younger viewers. It would appeal to both male and female as even-though the cast is mainly male there is also female superheroes whom the audience would enjoy to watch.

Key Messages/Call To Action– The main message of the advertising campaign was to tie together the last 10 years of marvel movies and create an epic finale and to convince new fans and old fans to come together and watch something that has meant a lot to people of all ages and backgrounds. There was a slogan and tagline for the film which is portraying all of the superheroes coming together which is creating a message for the audience for all of us to come together and watch the final film in the MCU.
campaign/choice of media– As stated previously advertising has been approached in various ways such as trailers and teaser trailers released on various social media platforms such as snapchat and instagram. This would create publicity for the film and making sure that the film has maximum exposure. Also physical posters that can be put up on billboards and also the digital posters can be given out to fans as memorabilia which will excite them about the film and the characters increasing it’s publicity.


Legal and Ethical Issues/Representation – As i have stated before, Avengers endgame didn’t have to worry about many legal or ethical issues when making this product as because of the MCU they have had a reputation of making characters of different backgrounds, races and genders. This is a fantastic way of representing those of different backgrounds. For example Black Panther, which has crossed boundaries in film making as the film has a cast which was mainly all black and the film also made a major stride in the representation of black superheroes in the film industry. this meant they were very unlikely to face any ethical issues due to the variety of cast and genders. however avengers ru into some legal action including dealing with sony pictures to allow them to use SpiderMan within their universe whilst sony still reserve the rights for SpiderMan it could cause foreseeable problems. the representation can be seen in the trailers both the official and the teaser trailer.
Campaign Logistics– Like stated before marvel had no spared expenses as this was a very big blockbuster film which costed a lot to make however it earned a lot of profit anyway. thus the advertising media of this film was seen everywhere as the company would’ve wanted maximum exposure so posters would’ve been advertised all over the world. such as in china billboards were used aswell as posters. tie ins with cola were also used.

Regulatory Bodies– Avengers endgame had to appeal to many different regulatory bodies including the BBFC, (British board of Film Classification) MPAA (Motion Picture Association of America) and others when advertising the product they would have face bodies such as the ASA (advertising standards agency) which will make sure it is acceptable to advertised the rating in England was 12a which meant that children could still go and see the film as long as they are accompanied with an adult.

the similarities of the justice league film poster in comparison with the avengers endgame film poster is that it was made for the same purpose which was to advertise the film and increase the sales in the box office it will also excite the fans about the film so they will be more inclined to go and watch the film which as a result and advantage will be increasing sales for the film it will increasing the actors fame status so they will become more popular and will be hired for future jobs. Another similarity of the film posters are that they are all both of the same franchise which is marvel and they are both about superheroes which again are part of the same franchise so the film posters which have the superheroes on them are telling a story to the fans so this will make them go and watch the film so this will boost sales.
the justice league toys make sure the film is well advertised and in comparison to avengers endgame where they will have had some type of marketing campaign whether that be toys or the cola tie ins to help advertise the film and both the brands the similarities will be that they are all part of a larger marketing campaign to promote the film it also helps to appeal to the younger target audience by using toys that they will see and ask their parents for so they will buy the toys for their children and then maybe even take them to see the film which will make sure the film does well in the box office.
the messages of the films are different depending on what film you are looking at as the message of avengers endgame is that of uniting everyone to come together to watch the final film and remember the film for years to come it is inviting and inclining everyone to come together and watch the truly epic finale so it boost sales in the box office and it goes down as one of the most watched films in history. Whereas the message for infinity war is about the superheroes going to battle to stop the enemy from collecting the infinity war stones it is about their battle to save earth and others form the enemy. so the messages overall are different but they do have one common which is they want the films to be remembered for years to come and also they are both about the superheroes battling to save something or someone.
